The Cooper Yeshiva High School for Boys and the Goldie Margolin School for Girls compete in the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA). The Maccabees compete at the highest level while embodying the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and character.
From cross country in the fall to basketball in the winter, and intramural golf in the spring, our high school athletes represent MHA-CYOS with pride. Our junior high and elementary school teams compete in the East Shelby County Recreation Association across fall, winter, and spring seasons.
Our Athletic Director, Kobi Pinto, leads our athletic program with a commitment to excellence and to developing student-athletes who are prepared to compete, lead, and grow both on and off the field.
Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball compete in TSSAA. Junior Varsity basketball for boys and a grades 5–8 developmental program round out our basketball offering.
Boys and Girls Cross Country for grades 5–12. Our runners compete in TSSAA meets each fall, building endurance, mental toughness, and team spirit.
Boys and Girls Varsity Tennis compete in spring season. Students develop their skills and compete against other TSSAA schools across the region.
Intramural golf lessons are available for boys and girls in grades 9–12, providing an introduction to a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime.
Flag football for grades 1–6 through the East Shelby County Recreation Association. A fun, safe introduction to team sports for our youngest Maccabees.
Junior high and elementary teams compete in ESCRA leagues across fall, winter, and spring seasons, building athletic skills and lasting friendships.
At MHA-CYOS, athletics are about more than winning. We believe that participation in competitive sports builds character, teaches resilience, and prepares students for life's challenges. Our coaches are role models who expect the best from every student-athlete.
Student-athletes learn to work together, communicate, and lead by example, skills that translate directly into the classroom and beyond.
