What is the name of the school?
We have four divisions:

  • Pre-K3 through Kindergarten: Leach Early Childhood Center
  • Grades 1 through 8: Margolin Hebrew Academy
  • Grades 9–12 (Boys): Cooper Yeshiva High School for Boys (CYHSB)
  • Grades 9–12 (Girls): Goldie Margolin School for Girls (GMSG)
How is the school day structured for a dual curriculum?
Grades 1–12 have a day which is split equally between Judaics and traditional core classes. Early childhood students enjoy a Project Approach curriculum that integrates Jewish studies with fundamental preschool skills.
Is the school accredited?
Yes, we are fully accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) and are affiliated with the Memphis Jewish Federation.
Is there a dress code?
Yes. Students in grades 1–8 wear navy or khaki pants (boys) or navy or khaki skirts (girls) with white or blue polo shirts available through Lands' End uniforms. High school students are expected to follow a modest dress code per the current school handbook. Please see our Policies page for full details.
Are the boys and girls dorms separated?
Yes, we maintain separate dormitories for boarding students from Cooper Yeshiva (boys) and Goldie Margolin School (girls).
Where do dorm students come from?
Recent hometowns of our boarding students include Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Indianapolis, IN; Israel; Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Woodmere, NY; and many more communities across the country and abroad.
How do I request a transcript or academic records?

How do I access RenWeb / ParentsWeb?
All users log in to RenWeb using the district code: Mar-TN. New students, parents, and teachers should contact the school office to receive a username and password. Call (901) 682-2400 or email erica.stoltz@mhacyos.org.
How does financial aid work?
Families apply for financial aid through the FACTS system. Applications must be submitted by the published deadline each spring. For step-by-step guidance, visit our Admissions page or contact Brandy Flack at brandy.flack@mhacyos.org.
